Joseph H. Pilates (1883-1967) is the founder of Pilates. Pilates is a system of over 500 exercises that engage the mind and conditioning of the total body. Intrinsically strengthening from the inside out. Pilate’s exercises can be performed on a mat or on specialized equipment such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Wanda Chair, Ladder Barrel, and other small apparatus. The focus is on quality of precision rather than quantity, which makes one feel invigorated rather than exhausted, with a particular concentration on strengthening and stabilizing the core.

Pilates is beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels.
